I have 4 announcements to make here, the first one being the cover reveal for A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire! This book is the second book in the Blood and Ash series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The first book, From Blood and Ash, was pretty popular when it came out earlier this year. March 30th, to be precise. This second book is long-awaited by many people, and while I haven't read the first one yet, I'm still excited to be sharing this with everyone! It's expected publication date is sometime in September 2020. Now for the reveal. *Drumroll, please.*

This is GORGEOUS. I don't know if I like the cover of the last book or this book better. I'll put the synopsis down here as well.

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire synopsis:

A Betrayal…

Everything Poppy has ever believed in is a lie, including the man she was falling in love with. Thrust among those who see her as a symbol of a monstrous kingdom, she barely knows who she is without the veil of the Maiden. But what she does know is that nothing is as dangerous to her as him. The Dark One. The Prince of Atlantia. He wants her to fight him, and that’s one order she’s more than happy to obey. He may have taken her, but he will never have her.

A Choice...

Casteel Da’Neer is known by many names and many faces. His lies are as seductive as his touch. His truths as sensual as his bite. Poppy knows better than to trust him. He needs her alive, healthy, and whole to achieve his goals. But he’s the only way for her to get what she wants—to find her brother Ian and see for herself if he has become a soulless Ascended. Working with Casteel instead of against him presents its own risks. He still tempts her with every breath, offering up all she’s ever wanted. Casteel has plans for her. Ones that could expose her to unimaginable pleasure and unfathomable pain. Plans that will force her to look beyond everything she thought she knew about herself—about him. Plans that could bind their lives together in unexpected ways that neither kingdom is prepared for. And she’s far too reckless, too hungry, to resist the temptation.

A Secret…

But unrest has grown in Atlantia as they await the return of their Prince. Whispers of war have become stronger, and Poppy is at the very heart of it all. The King wants to use her to send a message. The Descenters want her dead. The wolven are growing more unpredictable. And as her abilities to feel pain and emotion begin to grow and strengthen, the Atlantians start to fear her. Dark secrets are at play, ones steeped in the blood-drenched sins of two kingdoms that would do anything to keep the truth hidden. But when the earth begins to shake, and the skies start to bleed, it may already be too late.

Onto the next cover reveal! This one is for House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland. House of Hollow is a "dark, twisty modern fairytale where three sisters discover they are not exactly all that they seem and evil things really do go bump in the night" (Goodreads). As of now, this is a standalone book, and it is to be published on April 6th, 2021. Now, if you would be so kind as to give me another drumroll. Here we go!

This cover is very much giving me Wilder Girls vibes, and the cover of that book is one of the prettiest I have seen. This definitely rivals that. I'll give you the synopsis on Goodreads for this one as well.

House of Hollow synopsis:

Iris Hollow and her two older sisters are unquestionably strange. Ever since they disappeared on a suburban street in Scotland as children only to return a month a later with no memory of what happened to them, odd, eerie occurrences seem to follow in their wake. And they’re changing. First, their dark hair turned white. Then, their blue eyes slowly turned black. They have insatiable appetites yet never gain weight. People find them disturbingly intoxicating, unbearably beautiful, and inexplicably dangerous.

But now, ten years later, seventeen-year-old Iris Hollow is doing all she can to fit in and graduate high school on time–something her two famously glamourous globe-trotting older sisters, Grey and Vivi, never managed to do. But when Grey goes missing without a trace, leaving behind bizarre clues as to what might have happened, Iris and Vivi are left to trace her last few days. They aren’t the only ones looking for her though. As they brush against the supernatural they realize that the story they’ve been told about their past is unraveling and the world that returned them seemingly unharmed ten years ago, might just be calling them home.

That's all for the cover reveal portion of this announcement, so now it's finally time for the movie announcements! This part is going to be shorter.

First, we have The Kissing Booth 3! The Kissing Booth 2 dropped on Friday on Netflix, and it was a huge hit. I loved it just as much as the last one. I didn't really like the ending, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure other people liked it. Anyway, I'm really excited to announce that The Kissing Booth 3 will be coming out in 2021! It's too far, I know. The Kissing Booth movies are based on the series by Beth Reekles. There are three books in that series, so I don't think there's going to be any movies after this third one, sadly. If you haven't watched the first two movies pleeease go watch them now. They're definitely some of my favorites. I, for one, cannot wait until this comes out. Counting down the days!

The next movie is To All the Boys I've Loved Before 3! I know this franchise is super popular as well. It is also based on a series, this one by Jenny Han. Unlike The Kissing Booth books, these books are pretty well known. I haven't read them myself, but a few friends have, and I've heard they're pretty good! Personally, I didn't really like the second movie, but the first one was really good. Even so, I'll still be watching out for the day it comes out in 2021. This is also a three-book series, so there won't be any more movies after this one, unfortunately.

Both of these will premiere on Netflix, like their predecessors.

I hope you got something out of these announcements, whether it's excitement over a new movie or a new book to read. I know I'm excited!
