December has some really great books in store for us. Personally, I love December because of all the holiday books that come out. I won't be featuring any of those here, though. BUT I do have a very interesting selection of books for you today!

A Sky Beyond the Storm by Sabaa Tahir
December 1, 2020
This book is something that I'm sure everyone has heard about, since it's been super hyped. And for good reason as well. I know so many people who adore the Ember in the Ashes series, and who are so excited for this next one. A Sky Beyond the Storm is going to be the last adventure we have with Laia and Elias, though :(, I've read the first two books and I really enjoyed them, but I couldn't get into it as much as I wanted, and I ended up DNFing, so this one is not gonna be for me, but I hope everyone enjoys it when it comes out!

The Cousins by Karen M. McManus
December 1, 2020
The Cousins is a mystery, and if you've read any of McManus's other mysteries, you should know that she is the QUEEN of them. I've read two of them and I couldn't guess the ending of any (and I'm normally pretty good at guessing). Fair warning, they usually end up in murder, so if you're not into that, maybe don't pick this one up. So, anyway, The Cousins is about three cousins (obviously) that are invited to their estranged grandmother's island resort. But their grandmother has something dark in mind for them. And the longer they stay at the resort, the more they realize how dark their family's past really is. Interesting, right?

The Good Girls by Claire Eliza Bartlett
December 1, 2020
The Good Girls is another mystery, this one a murder mystery. It reminds me a lot of One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus because of the synopsis. Basically, a student is murdered at a stereotypical high school, and there are three students who are the main suspects. These three suspects are steroetypes: the partier, the cheerleader, and the over-achiever. If you've read One of Us is Lying, i'm sure you can tell by now that tbis one sounds almost EXACTLY like it. Hopefully, it ends up being different, though. I want to read it just to see what the ending is, honestly, If you haven't read the book I mentioned, however, I'm sure this would make a great read.

The Love Curse of Melody McIntyre by Robin Talley
December 1, 2o20
The Love Curse of Melody McIntyre is an #ownvoices rom-com, which has been said to be perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli and Nina LaCour. Melody McIntyre, stage manager, has always been terrible at love. It never works out for her. Whenever she's fallen for a fellow actor during a school performance, both the romance and the performance have gone badly. So Mel has sworn off of all romantic entanglements. But she didn't expect the new lead in her play to be super funny and sweet. Now she has to try not to fall in love.

Becoming Human by Amy Michelle Carpenter
December 8, 2020
This book is completely different from anything else on this list today. It's sci=fi and totally cool, and also a sweet romance. Three teenagers: an alien obsessed with earth, a redneck boy, and a robot girl. All three of them have to work together to save humanity. One doesn't believe in aliens, one's planet is facing extinction, and one learns that her planet is about to be invaded and will do anything to save it. The premise sounds a little like The 5th wave trilogy, which I seriously disliked, but I haven't read many alien books, so I'm willing to give this one a try. It sounds really unique, to be honest.
Anddd that's all I have for you today! Also, be on the lookout for an upcoming review on The Folk of the Air trilogy. 👀
