September is a great month for sequels. Most of the ones featured on this list are sequels, and I'm so excited to share them with you! (Though if you're a true fan, you probably already know about these.) There are a few standalones as well, which I am very excited to read. You'll be hearing about my excessive enthusiasm throughout this whole post :)).

First off, we'll start with something I know all Serpent & Dove fans have surely heard about.

Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin

Blood & Honey is the long-awaited sequel to 2019's bestselling YA Fantasy/Romance Serpent & Dove. I am so ready for this book to come out. Lou quickly became one of my favorite YA characters after the first book, and I can't wait to see what my favorite squad faces in this one! Release date: September 1, 2020

Next, we have something that's bound to knock you out of the water! (If you know what the book is about, I hope you understood the pun.)

Fable by Adrienne Young

Ever since Sky in The Deep and it's sequel The Girl the Sea Gave Back, everyone's been watching out for more of Adrienne Young's work. And here we have it! Fable is about a girl who gets caught up with pirates, and who doesn't love pirates, am I right? This is already on my TBR. Even better, the sequel already has a cover and name, and is set to release a few months after this one!. It's called Namesake. Anyway, the release date for Fable is: September 1, 2020.

This next book is the third and final book in the Ace of Shades series, also known as The Shadow Game series. I personally do not plan on reading it since it was very hard for me to get through the second book, but if you loved the series, then this is for you!

Queen of Volts by Amanda Foody

After the plot twists at the end of King of Fools, I think everyone's waiting to see how this one turns out. We're back with Enne and Levi again, but this time an enemy plucked right from the legends of the City of Sin is here to play. No matter what happens, this is going to be an explosion of an ending to the series, for sure. On second thought, I might have to read this, just for closure. Release date: September 1, 2020

Anyone who loved From Blood and Ash will be excited to hear about this next one! I featured it in a cover reveal a couple of posts back, but I'll be showing you the cover again.

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout

As I'm sure you've seen by now, there is a LOT going on on September 1st, and this just adds to that. I haven't read From Blood and Ash yet, forgive me, but it's on my TBR! I plan to read both together after this one comes out. Jennifer L. Armentrout never fails to amaze, so I'm sure this will be just as awesome as all of her other books. Release date: September 1, 2020

This is definitely one of the books that I'm most excited about. There is no way that you could convince me to NOT read this book.

The Bookweaver's Daughter by Malavika Kannan

This book is written by an Indian author and features an Indian MC as well! As an Indian POC myself, I am so happy to finally get some more representation. I've heard nothing but good things about this one, and it has Indian lore and female friendships! As a plus, it's my favorite genre (YA Fantasy) and releases on my birthday! Release date: September 8, 2020

Another book that releases on my birthday! Let's see what it is, shall we? I'll give you a hint: it's a sequel!

Iron Heart by Nina Varela

Okay, first of all, we need to talk about this cover! It's freaking gorgeous. If you thought the cover of Crier's War was pretty, damn have I got news for you. Anyway, Iron Heart is the sequel to Crier's War, which is said to be one of the best f/f romances out there. If you don't know f/f is, it's a female/female romance. Crier's War has been on my TBR for a while, but now I just plan on reading it when this one comes out. Release date: September 8, 2020

The Gilded Wolves fans, get ready for this one!

The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi

The Silvered Serpents is the sequel to one of the bestselling books of 2019, The Gilded Wolves. Honestly, this has never been on my list to read, but I just read the synopsis for both, and I have to say, I'm excited! I will definitely be reading this sometime. It's set in Paris in 1889, which is exactly my style. Release date: September 22, 2020

Time for another sequel! This time, with vampires. I'm sure you've guessed what it is by now.

Crush by Tracy Wolff

Crave is the vampire book that everyone's been raving about lately, so of course, this was a huge announcement in the book community. I'm not one for vampires, never have been, so I'll pass, but if you are, then definitely go pick up Crave and Crush! Release date: September 29, 2020

This next one is the one I'm most excited about, no doubt. I screamed when I found out about it.

Skyhunter by Marie Lu

If you read my very first post about my favorite books/authors, you'd know that Marie Lu is one of my favorite authors of all time. I've read almost all of her work and loved every single one. I'm sure that Skyhunter will be no exception. Skyhunter is Fantasy/Sci-Fi, and I've just been getting into Sci-Fi recently, so I'm very excited. If only this book was the one that came out on my birthday :((. Still extremely excited for this, though. Release date: September 29, 2020

You didn't think I was going to forget about one of the most exciting releases of this year, did you? I saved the best for last.

A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

I know Naomi Novik is one of the most popular authors out there, so please don't kill me for not having read any of her work yet. OwlCrate is even doing an exclusive edition of this, so you know it must be special. OwlCrate is a book subscription box by the way, for those of you who didn't know. I am so hyped about this one, and I know I'm going to read it. It's about a girl who goes to a school for magical powers, except she has dark magic. Dark academia is one of the best aesthetics out there, and I'm so ready for this.

September is going to be absolutely awesome, and I'm going to do my best to read all of the books I mentioned above and review them. I hope I included something that you're planning on reading or added something new to your TBR for September!
